Westwood was founded in 1983 by Susan M. Byrne, Chairman and CEO.  On July 1, 2002, we became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the name of Westwood Holdings Group, Inc.  (NYSE: WHG). 

 

On April 1, 2003, Westwood celebrated its 20th anniversary.  In honor of this occasion, Founder, Chairman and CEO Susan M. Byrne rang The Opening Bell© at the New York Stock Exchange.

 

Over the years, Westwood has evolved from offering a single product  to currently offering nine specialized investment products that are available to a wide range of clients.  We have achieved this goal by establishing two broad business channels:  

• Westwood Management provides investment advisory services to corporate pension funds, public retirement plans, endowments and foundations, mutual funds and clients of Westwood Trust. 

• Westwood Trust provides to institutions and high net worth individuals trust and custodial services and participation in common trust funds that it sponsors.

Our strategy has allowed us to successfully deliver professionally managed investment products to our clients through the most appropriate distribution channel.
